Guided Golf Experience at Piedra So – Bonaire’s unique Golf Course

Looking for a different kind of shore excursion on Bonaire?
Enjoy a relaxing and sporty outing to Piedra So, Bonaire’s unique golf course, where you will play the first 9 holes together with a local experienced golfer who will guide you along the way.

This private golf experience is perfect for 1 to 4 golfers arriving by cruise ship and wanting to combine leisure, island scenery and personal guidance in one memorable excursion.

Piedra So Golf Course – A Unique Caribbean Golf Experience

Piedra So Golf Course is one of Bonaire’s most unusual outdoor experiences and describes itself as the most unique 18-hole golf course in the Caribbean. Rather than traditional manicured grass fairways, Piedra So has been designed around Bonaire’s natural landscape, with fairways consisting of native vegetation and specially designed artificial greens. The result is an environmentally conscious desert-style course where the island scenery, wildlife and steady trade winds are all part of the game.

Founded in 2004, the course offers 18 holes in a relaxed and informal setting, with impressive views across Bonaire’s rugged countryside and toward the Caribbean Sea. The natural terrain makes playing Piedra So quite different from a conventional golf course—and that’s exactly its attraction.

Piedra So is located just outside Kralendijk, making it particularly convenient for visitors staying on the island as well as cruise passengers looking for an alternative shore excursion. From the cruise port in downtown Kralendijk, the golf course can easily be reached by taxi, making a round of golf practical within a cruise-day visit.

Golfers don’t necessarily need to travel with their own clubs: rental of a golf set is included in this excursion.
For golfers visiting Bonaire, Piedra So is therefore much more than simply playing 9 holes. It is an opportunity to experience golf, Bonaire-style—informal, environmentally conscious and surrounded by the island’s distinctive landscape.
